A Train to RockawayCalvin Seibert is a man who does the impossible. He makes art for art’s sake and does so everyday. Since the 1980s, Calvin has made more than 1000 pieces in his chosen medium: sand. The short film “A Train to Rockaway” gives a glimpse into his daily routine of building sand castles on the beaches of New York City.
Directors William Starling and Carlos Rojas Felice’s contemplative film looks at a person for whom the production of art really is everything, but whose art never lasts more than 72 hours.
